9th October 2010 – All the three classes of 125, Moto2 and MotoGP qualifying for the Malaysian leg of Motogp went on well with hot and humid weather scorching through all the riders. Casey Stoner in particular was delighted with the warm and dry track and was happy to be back in Sepang. Asked to comment about today’s qualifying, “track condition is one of the best in Sepang this season but unfortunately we couldn’t get the best settings and balancing for the bike. We opted for the soft tires in the morning and hard in the afternoon and the hard compound seems to be the right choice. However we are still struggling with the bike especially on right handers”. Casey adds that he is finding it hard to match Jorge Lorenzo and Nicky Hayden’s pace today. Jorge Lorenzo qualified 1st with a time of 2’01.537 done in lap 24 of his total 25 laps while Nicky came in 2nd with 2’01.637 set on lap 21 of his total 22 laps. With 3 more rounds to go before the final curtain, the world champion’s title is out for Casey who currently has180 points compared to Jorge’s 297. Casey congratulates Jorge for being consistent throughout this season and that Jorge deserves to win the 2010 title.
