Pre-race 2 interview with GT 3 race leader Dilantha Malagamuwa of Dilango Racing behind the wheel of Lamborghini LP 560 GT3.
You were leading Tunku Hammam of Arrows Racing who came in second yesterday with a gap time of 16.221 seconds, do you think you can repeat the feat again in today’s Race 2?
D.M – I think I stand a good chance although my car is still using the old set up as compared to Hammam’s car and it is about 30-40 bhp less. It was very obvious on the straights where Hammam could quite easily pass me. However we are fast on the corners I think we can stand a good chance to win Race 2 today.
So far, is your car having any technical or overheating problems?
D.M – No, the car is working really well, no issues at all.
What about yourself? Is the heat here affecting you in any way?
D.M – Not at all, I am used to the heat here and I don’t even need to wear a cool suit.
What would be your strategies in Race 2 today?
D.M – We are working on the best pit stop strategies as well as a good suspension set up.
